An original wallhanging "painted" with luxury textiles and trims in an "arts and crafts" style. The focus is a maple tree created with individual tapestry leaves overcast by hand with yarn and detailed with tassels and wooden beads. The tree trunk is created in a unique textile which is tied with brass eyelets. The back ground is a camel/red/green english garden print which has been hand tied. The image is framed in multiple borders in plain red chenille damask, a patterned red chenille and a red/rose/green woven paisley textile which has been hand quilted. The corner squares are in a green damask with an applique of red and cream french toile. The whole piece is bordered with a rose and copper striped velvet fabric. The wallhanging is interlined with cotton batt and the back is in a plain textile.
